they are a reward from Him."

Christmas Came Early

We were blessed this year to be able to spend Thanksgiving with Aunt Tiffy, Hanna, Abbie, Eliza, Grandma Charlene, and Perry!

We had one of the best visits we ever had.  The kids got along great and us adults had a fabulous time!

Thanksgiving mom, Tiffany, and I all cooked.  Tiffany taught me how to make a mean apple pie!  Perry was the unofficial dish washer :)  It was a delicious meal!  Grandma and grandpa Brown came up with Uncle Ted and we all ate and visited.

I talked mom and Tiffany into going Black Friday shopping.  Let me just say it was an experience!  Tiffany had never been before so it was hilarious seeing her reaction to the crowds at first.  Perry was kind enough to sleep on the couch downstairs and listen for the kids.  John worked security gig at Wal-Mart all night, so he had his hands full as well!

We had no agenda and nothing in particular we had to have, we just were going to get out of the house and enjoy shopping without children for a change! We started at 10 pm hitting up Wal-Mart first.  You literally couldn't get into the store.  We were weaving in and out of people and carts.  I waited in line while mom and Tiffany got what we wanted.  We were in and out in about an hour!  It was awesome.

We decided to hit up Walgreens next since Kohl's didn't open until midnight.  We hit the jack pot there! I love unplanned deals :)

We spent most of our time at Kohl's.  Mom waited in line while Tiff and I tried on clothes and shopped. We waited in line for so ling there that I even had time to run tot he gas station and get drinks and snacks!

Lat we hit up Target.  By the time we got there the crowd was gone and it was picked over, but we still found some stuff to get!  We ended up getting home at 4am!!!  We were all tired, but we had so much fun together!

Saturday morning we had early Christmas and let the kids open up the presents from Grandma Charlene, Grandpa Metz, and aunts/uncles.  The kids were very patient waiting their turn and loved everything they got.  We basically spent the rest of the day doing crafts.  Mom and Perry took all the kids to Chucky Cheese while Tiffany, Eliza, and I enjoyed lunch out and registering for Kloe.

Baby Brown #3!!!!

As most of you know we are having Baby Brown #3!  We are so excited and can't wait till the arrival on April 3rd.

On November 7th we had our ultra sound to find out what gender Baby Brown #3 was going to be.  I had this perfect little scenario in my head of how it was all going to work out.  But as you all know my perfect scenarios hardly ever work out!!!

So the boys and I arrive and check in that morning.  They were so excited to see if we were having a girl or a boy.  Daddy met us there because he had training to go to after the appointment.

We get called to the back, I lay down and the tech puts that cold jelly on my belly.  Caiden looks at her and says "You better not hurt my mommy!"  We all laugh and explain to him what is going to happen (which I did a thousand times before we got there!).

The tech had to do all the technical measuring etc. before we really got down to the fun part.  Well in the mean time the boys were losing interest and fast!  They were moving the bed, whining, wanting to leave, etc.  We keep telling them we will be done soon.  I think you can picture it!

So finally the tech gives us the news....IT'S A GIRL!!!!
I think we were both a little surprised by the news.  We had subconsciously prepared ourselves that we were having another boy.  I mean we even had a name picked out!  At this time Ethan had to poopy.  So John took him to the bathroom and came back into the room.

He asked the tech "Are you sure it is a girl?!"  She assured him that it was.  Then Ethan was yelling for John to wipe his butt!  So back in the bathroom he went.  Caiden is squirming around and ready to leave.  John comes back out and asks the tech again, "Are you sure it is girl?!"  She looks at me and smiles, and assures him once again by finding another picture to show him it is indeed a girl.

As we are wrapping things up I am smiling from ear to ear, the boys are way done with the entire situation, and John still has this confused look on his face.
And AGAIN he asks her "Are you sure it is a girl?!"
The tech turns to him and says, "Do you not have any girls in your family?"
John says "No I have a brother and she has a sister.  The Brown's have boys and the Knox's have girls."

For the last time she shows him the clearest picture there has been and yep it's a girl!  It took us a few days for it to all sink in...we are having a girl!!!!!

We have decided to name her Kloe Kay.  We are so excited for her arrival!  The boys give her a hug and kiss every night before they go to sleep.  Caiden wants to call her Sissy.
