they are a reward from Him."

Growing up!

As I do every year the boys had their pictures done.  They are growing up so fast!  Cheryl Mears from Captured By Cheryl Photography did the boys pictures.  She attends Lifechurch with us in Yukon...we have so many talented people in our church!

The boys were not as cooperative as I wanted them to be...imagine that.  But she did a great job getting some really good shots of them.  Of course their favorite outfits were the cowboy hats and spurs that my mom got them.

These are just a few of my favorites!
We are truly blessed to have such handsome boys inside and out!  Thank you Lord for all you have given our family!

Play Day Finals

Cowboy plays days have officially come to and end for the year.  The boys loved every minute of them!  They ask me at least once a week when they get to go back!

Both the boys were in the running to place in different events.  The ended up placing in 2 events, 3rd in Flags and Barrels, and won some nice camping chairs that were embroidered with the event and what place they got!  You should have seen their faces when they found out they won!

Daddy got some exercise that last day...he got to run each of the boys in all the events:)  I must say they did a great job.  Ethan had a little harder time staying in the saddle, but he held his own and never fell complete out.

Air Force Day 2011

Every year John's squadron has a family day.  They boys love to go and see all the planes!  This year they were both old enough to assemble a Lowe's project.  Okay John and I still did a lot of it!

On the way to see the planes I snuck in a shot of the boys walking to see the planes.  It was totally against the rules I later found out as the men in the truck were yelling at everyone through a  blow horn.

Inside the planes Caiden was off and running to see and touch everything he could.  Ethan on the other hand wanted to for about the first minute and then he was with John the entire time, hence most of the pictures are of Caiden.

This year we spent the most time at the event then we ever have.  It was a lot of fun!

Happy Birthday Caiden 2011

Caiden turned
this year!

I really can't believe it!  It seems like just yesterday John came home from work and I told him we were pregnant!

This year daddy had to work on his actual birthday, so we all met at Chick-fila to eat and play.  (I was slacker mom and forgot to take pictures there!)  We waited up for daddy to get home before he opened his presents.

That night daddy came home later than expected and we found out he had wrecked his bicycle and thought he broke his wrist.  He didn't go to the hospital because he knew Caiden was waiting for him to get home before he opened gifts...what a tough man :)

This year Caiden LOVES school.  He is very focused on his work and tells me every night that he has homework to work on.  I just hope that it stays that way till he graduates...we shall see!  He can write his name, the alphabet, and numbers.  He absolutely loves to color.  He even won the coloring contest at school! I think his favorite part of school is the social aspect overall...wonder where he gets that from?!

He still is a perfectionist when it comes to most things...this can be a good thing and a bad thing depending on the situation.   He still has a very caring heart and looks to try to include everyone.

He loves transformers, coloring, writing, playing good guys vs bad guys with his brother, and organizing and cleaning (of course when he sees convenient).

He is very interested in wrestling and football, even though we have not officially played them yet.  His best friend this year at school is Trajen Williamson.  They trade toys, call each other on the phone, and love to play together.  It is so funny because they are exact opposites!

Team Transformer

Love these guys!  John absolutely loves the fact that his sons are totally digging what he did back in the day!
