So after day one of being so excited to see each other wore off, day 2 was starting. The kids really did well this trip playing together. I mean we still had the "I don't want to watch boy cartoons." and "Boys get off the girls they don't want to wrestle." conversations. I think those will be ongoing every year!
Grandma and the girls had been planning for the boys to come for days. They decided that we were going to decorate cupcakes. That was interesting to see them all sharing tasks to help make the cupcakes, but grandma and Tiff had it all figured out!
Eliza of course did not partake in the cupcake making event. Instead she was just being adorable....I mean look at that smile and those cheeks, what's not to love about that face?!
The wait until the decorating could happen seemed like days for the kids. Once the cupcakes were done they were in the kitchen so fast and claiming which one was THE cupcake they were going to decorate. Lets just say sprinkles galore!!!!
They each decorated 3 and those were the ones that they got to eat...not all at one time of course!
Some were more professional looking then others (I mean my kids had no chance since Tiff is an awesome decorator, the girls had some tricks up their sleeves!)
I had the great idea to take all the kids to the park. We all had fun except for Caiden. He was too busy crying about his knee. He fell on the way to the park and you would have thought his leg was going to have to be amputated!
The rest of the kids played and had a blast. Of course I had to make them pose for some pictures while we were there!
We also took the challenge to see who could make it all the way around the wooden beams. Abbie took her time, but slow and steady wins the race!
We also discovered some bugs while we were out in the wilderness :) Of course my boys wanted to touch them and the girls just wanted to look.
Now the next picture was a little difficult. I had to get them all swinging high enough that they could last on their own, so I had enough time to step back and get the action shot.
When we returned the pinata party was ready to begin. All the kids took turns putting their bowl of candy into the pinata. Lets just say this took longer than we expected. All the kids were made sure that EVERY single piece of candy got in there! We also had to make sure none of them snuck a piece while they were waiting their turn!

Now for the hilarious part! So we all head outside to destroy this pinata. We make sure we go in order form youngest to oldest so everyone gets a turn. We all thought this would be over in minutes....well we were wrong! Ethan had a turn...not much happened.
Then is was Abbie's turn. Still nothing happening. And after that turn she wanted nothing else to do with it!
Then is was Caiden's turn. Uncle Jason played some tricks on him at first :) Still nothing.
Then it was Hanna's turn. Watch out this girl was on a mission! Still nothing.
This was the never ending pinata. And let me just say they were beating the you know what out of this thing. Tiffany videoed the entire thing so when I get a copy I will definitely put it on for all to see. the kids just kept taking turns and the pinata would not break a bit. Hanna and Caiden finally got sick and tired of the traditional way and just started ripping the thing apart!
All the kids were happy in the end...they all got to eat candy! The adults were amazed at how well that silly pinata was put together! So the next time you are shopping for a pinata, have a back up plan in place...you never know what you are going to get!
