Redhawks Game

We daddy spent an evening watching the Redhawks baseball game.

We lasted about an inning before the boys had to go and walk around.  First we hit up the play area, then it became infested with way too many kids so we split!

On the way back we hit up the snow cone stand...

We were able to sit still until those were gone and then we were off again!  We decided to hit up the souvenir shop for some cool air.  While we were in there the boys had to touch EVERYTHING!

Then we HAD to find Cooper and Rudy the redhawks.  Caiden asked almost every worker he found where they were.  We finally saw them come out from hiding and the boys took off running just to see them!

The Redhawks won!  We left before it was officially over for obvious reasons!  It was a great family night!

Arrested

We attended a cookout on Memorial Day at our friend Mighton's house.  We swam, ate, and played all night.  Jim has a variety of odd "toys" and this time he has made a golf cart into a police vehicle.  The boys all had fun riding in the back pretending they were arrested!

Lake Salyer

We have discovered the coolest place and it is really close to our house!  It is called Lake Salyer.  Cowboy Church was having a camp out there.  We didn't camp, but wanted to check it out.

The German police officers are back for a visit.  We chose not to host this time around, but the Avers' did so we all loaded up our 4 wheelers and headed out on some trails when we got there.

Notice that we will need to expand to another 4 wheeler in the future, the kids won't stay this small forever!

Out on our excursion we found some tee pees that were made by Indians.  People can sleep/camp in them, but there are too many wasp nests inside to even take a picture in them for me!

Next to the tee pees there were some cool cave like areas that the kids played in.

And of course a tree to climb as well!

After we got lost on the trails and found our way back, we decided to take a break by the lake.  It started with getting our feet wet to help us cool off and next thing you know the kids were stripped down to the undies/diapers and were having a ball in the water!

Ethan soon after decided to take off his diaper and began running around naked as a jay bird.  He didn't have a care in the world who saw!  He was muddy and so then he started to "wash" himself off in the lake.  Pretty funny stuff!

Caiden being the nosy/curious/social butterfly that he is, found a man next to us fishing.  He has been very curious about fishing!

This man, who I believe his name was Jose and is from Cowboy Church, took the time out to explain what to do and let Caiden try it out.  When I apologized for all the 7 million questions that Caiden was asking him, he replied like no one else has ever replied before.  He said, "It is not a problem!  It is our job to take time out for all the children, it is how they learn!"  I need to remember that in my weakest parenting moments!

Of course Ethan wanted a turn as well!  He only tried once and then he was done with it.

Right before we were leaving some of the teens from Cowboy Church were out riding their horses and offered to give the kids a ride.  The horse Caiden picked was named Turtle...can we say coincidence?!

It was a great little fast getaway!  We had a wonderful family day that we haven't really experienced before.  I think we may have to have more of them like this one.

Muffins for Mom 2011

Caiden gets so excited when John or I get to come to his school for any reason! This year they hosted Muffins for Mom in May. Luckily I have a great friend, Stacey Marchino, that was there to capture the joyous occasion. {please excuse the pastiness that I have next to my son!!} It is a nice time that I get to spend with Cadien, but to also meet the other moms and get to visit with them as well. We have muffins (obviously!) and orange juice.

Memory Verse

Caiden has been in AWANA at First Baptist Church since August of 2010 and tomorrow is the end of the year program.  All the kids memorize a verse to say together for his cubbie class.  Caiden is one of the few in his class that had his verse memorized after the first day!!!  I am so proud of the little booger :)

Ethan is not old enough yet to be in a class, but his big brother has taught him well!  Just listen to this little man!  He picks things up so fast these days!
