they are a reward from Him."

For the LOVE of T-Ball

There is so much love that I found Caiden sleeping like this after his very first game.
(please insert aaaahhhhh here!)
Caiden was so excited to play his first game and to get his hat and shirt!  The game went well even though we lost :(  The kids are so stinkin' funny to watch!  I mean it is really a comedy show.  Between the coaches, kids, and the parents it could be the next reality tv program!

Ethan is a pretty good spectator at the games and at practice.  Just take a look at this one...I think he is starting to get the concept of the game :)  What do you think?

First Game

First t-ball game and it was the FUNNIEST day I have had in a long time.  The kids had so much fun, the parents laughed so hard we all had tears in our eyes at one point, and the coaches all managed to keep smiling through the entire game!

Needless to say every game we have gotten better.  I am not sure what our record is to date, but I do know we lost the first one.  But there is more to life than a score!

Sorry the pics are not that good.  My camera is great, but I have requested a new one for Christmas after I realized I can't get one single close up that I wanted from the stands.

Overall Caiden payed attention while he was in the field.  He does have the most pee breaks compared to anyone else on his team to date!  It is a running joke with the lady at the ticket counter now.
Excuse Caiden's face.  He was on the monkey bars at school that day when a big kids pushed him off and yep...wood chip burn on the face!
Caiden is really good at batting!  He loves to run the bases.  Here is a play by play of his first at bat!

First Base to Second Base

Second Base to Third Base

Third base to HOME!

It was so cute seeing them all shake hands at the end of the game!
Caiden looks forward to every game!  He loves being around all his friends.  I think he is gonna be a sports guy, which I know that makes Grandpa Markham happy!  He has a grandkid to watch ESPN with nonstop and talk the lingo with.

She's so funny

The boys love spending time with all their grandparents, Lord knows they have plenty :)

The boys got to spend one-on-one time with Grandma Markham while mommy and daddy were away in Hawaii.  They had so much fun with her!

The last day she was here we went to eat at Applebee's.  While we were there we realized that we hadn't really taken any photos of the memorable time, so why not start right then?

Before we left Caiden and I went to the restroom and when we came out this is how we found grandma and Ethan.  They were yelling at us and we couldn't find them...wonder why?!
So of course Caiden and I had to do it too!
You just never know what your going to get when we are all together...just think if we would have had my dad there too...

Hawaii 2011

John and I were lucky enough to take a mini vacation to Hawaii with out the kiddos.  Grandma Markham came and stayed with the boys which made us at ease while we were gone.

The day I left to meet John in Honolulu, there was an earthquake and tsunami in Japan that was supposed to hit Hawaii and the west coast.  I had no idea of this until I was at the airport.  Luckily Hawaii and the rest of the places were fine, but sadly Japan had massive destruction.  I made it there safe and without any problems!

Everyone first question to me was "what did we do?"My answer to that is not a whole lot!  John worked during the day from around 5am-2pm so we didn't have many late nights.

While he was away I watched t.v. shows that polluted my mind, saw movies from start to finish, and not much else!  When he came home we would go to a few places and then eat.

Here we were at Duke's
We got the privilege of going on a tour of the USS Arizona Memorial.  It was very somber feeling.
We attended a luau.  The food was AWESOME!

We got to spend 2 days at the beach.  The first time we were with a big group and the last day we were by ourselves!  We were at Bellows beach which is only for military so it was not crowded and didn't have all the touristy stuff junking it up.  It was quite relaxing and I could have been there for days at a time!
We missed the kids, but enjoyed time to be together as husband and wife for a week instead of mommy and daddy!

He's a natural!

Okay almost!

Tonight was Caiden's first t-ball practice.  I was waiting to see how this was going to go since we have NEVER attempted an organized sport before.  Plus the fact that last night I told Caiden "Don't forget you have t-ball practice tomorrow night." and his response was "Oh Yeah!  I can't wait to kick the ball!"  Um wrong sport bud :)

So the story began with a whinny 4 year old that is "sick" all of the sudden.  He had been telling Grandma Markham all day about how sick he was.  When I got home he told me same thing over and over!  I finally said either we can go to t-ball and you can go to the doctor tomorrow OR we can stay home.  Of course he picked practice.

So my mom and I load up the boys and all the equipment and we were off.  All the way there Caiden was whining and saying he wanted to go home.  SUCK IT UP!
When we get there it is the same story UNTIL he sees his friends practicing and having fun then it was a different tune.  He started to throw the ball with grandma and she taught him a few tricks!
He listened to his coaches really well which made me proud!

Some moments were not as good...

as others...

They started off practice with the kids playing catch and then they practiced running the bases...FUNNY!  Caiden is SUPER fast and he is not afraid to tell you nor show you at any time!  He ran so fast tonight that his shoe kept falling off...needless to say we need to invest in some better shoes for sports.

He got better about keeping it on the more times he went.

Last they divided the kids up and they practiced batting and fielding.  Caiden did so good!  The coach asked him "Have you ever played this before?"  Caiden said nope!  The coach replied "Well, you are going a great job!  I thought you have played before."

Yep that was my kid :)  okay done bragging :P
Overall I think it is going to be fun!  I LOVE all the people that are on the team and Caiden seemed to enjoy it and be good at it!
We shall see how it all plays out!
