Caiden swimming lessons

Caiden took swimming lessons this summer. Well we took them together it was a parent tot class. I am fixing to to do some mom bragging....He did really good all the other mom's kept saying to their kids "Look at Caiden he can do it." One day we did life jacket safety and from that day on he kept telling me "I don't need your help mom I can do it myself." So the mom that I am I let him go and of course what your thinking happened...he sunk and gagged on some water. But he then realized that my minimal help was what he needed!

Swimming to get the toys was one of his favorite games to play.
So this is a picture of what he is not allowed to do...poor water on the walkway. OOPS

We did lots of songs like ring around the rosies, wheels on the bus (his favorite). So if any of you have been around for a party you know my son likes to sing LOUDLY! He was the only kid who sang the whole song and didn't gag on water while doing it.

Floating on his back was okay with him but when we tried it on the belly it was a no go!

He really liked the doggy paddle the best.

This is one of the moments that he decided that he didn't need me!

This is when he did need my help!

Getting into the pool testing the water with our toes first!

Just being us...

So we are pretty boring arouund here but these are a few boring moments caught on tape!

Wearing Uncle Jeff's shoes...by the way we couldn't find where he put them for a few days and Jeff had to go home with no shoes!...Oh yeah we found them in Ethan's closet...he is already trying to set his brother up for the fall!

I can clap!!...Oh and throw my food!!

Caiden can now do tricks!! Eat your heart out Corbin! LOL!

July 4th

So July 4th we really didn't do much as you know it has been a million degrees outside and then on the 4th it decided to throw some rain storms our way too. The boys and I were out on the back porch playing trucks and tractors when it started to rain. Well I tried to get them to come under the porch to get out of the rain and Ethan decided that he was going to play in the rain and then Caiden joined him. Then Ethan discovered the rain gutter and thought it looked like fun!

Stick'em up!

No one has told me about this cool new toy!

Va-kay in Illinois

I know we have been back for a while but here are some pics from our vacation in Illinois. We had a great time...Caiden loves grandma's house because she has a mini petting zoo and tractors! He now asks everyone if they have tractors in thier garage. He caught her chickens...sorry no pics to show didn't want to be blamed for animal cruelty LOL! Ethan had fun meeting all his extended family. Him and Kristin really hung out!

Ethan was not required to ride...this was only a picture opportunity.

Lovin' Great Uncle Lonnie...yay he is old now he is a great uncle!!

Lil pic with the grandparents...and no my grandpa could still walk after I got up...barely :)

Great grandkids and the AWESOME GREAT grandparents!

It's the birthday girl...sorry she looks so rough but it was the day after her 50th party and boy was it a party!!

So let me introduce the gator...Caiden favorite toy. He would drive this thing all day long if he could.

WOW...I feel old my little cousin is old enough to go out with us now! Thanks to the grandmas and grandpas for watching the kids so we could get some adult time in!

Once again in the gator!...John really liked it too! It is now on his giant wish list.

Chillin' with his 2nd cuz Kristin!

The gator again...s are you finally getting it...the gator was the main attraction for this vacation! Thanks to Jamie for entertaining kids as the tour guide of mom's farm!

Kristin working her magic to put Ethan to sleep.

So the entire vacation wasn't all roses!

The famous four-some...The blonde Knox girls and the brunette Brown boys! We can't help it that we make such beautiful children!!

Caiden's horse ride that he waited so patiently for!
